- Partner with internal teams to develop and deploy scalable analytic solutions aligned with 3
Ms process improvement priorities using techniques such as anomaly detection, SPC, and predictive quality applications - Partner with business stakeholders to diagnose root causes of process issues and inefficiencies. Scope, identify, and execute projects, including cleansing and transforming existing process data to engineer innovative analytic solutions that improve operational performance.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in manufacturing analytics and proactively identify opportunities to apply new techniques to solve complex challenges.
- Work with plant technical teams and leadership to develop and execute long term strategies to improve manufacturing performance through advanced analytics.
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s of Science or Engineering degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Three (3) years of manufacturing or data analytics experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Master's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, or Computer Science from an accredited institution
- Five (5) years of manufacturing data analytics experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Demonstrated experience applying statistics, advanced analytics, machine learning, or AI methodologies to address complex manufacturing problems.
- Previous work experience with Python and SQL for process data querying, transformation, and visualization
- Familiarity with tools like Seeq, Grafana, Mini Tab, JMP and Power
BI to extract insights from complex manufacturing data. - Familiarity w/ manufacturing systems such as MES, Historians, ERP
- This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.
