As the Athletic Trainer on our team, you will use your full scope of skills to provide clinical support in the provision of quality orthopedic care and treatment of patients. You will work hand in hand with physicians and advanced practice providers, and collaborate with local high school and community partnerships.
This is a part-time (.9) Athletic Trainer opportunity based at our Lakeville Campus. 3 shifts/week with every third weekend coverage, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM (subject to change). Must be flexible to float to all Summit Orthopedic Urgent Care locations as needed.
Responsibilities- Room patients, obtain patient health histories, and perform initial and secondary assessments of patients.
- Document patient information and care provided in the patient8s medical record.
- Complete forms and documentation needed by patients, employers, or insurance companies.
- Assessment of postoperative wounds and provide standardized instruction in wound care.
- Provide standardized patient education instructions, verbal or written.
- Act as liaison between the patient/family and physician and as a resource to clinical staff in answering orthopedic-related questions.
- Travel to and provide coverage to any of Summit's outreach clinical locations and/or indoor or outdoor athletic events, as assigned.
- Clean and stock patient exam rooms.
Summit's hiring range for this position is $29.64 to $37.05 per hour. The hired candidate may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, differentials and/or deferred compensation. If you are hired at Summit, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, experience, and internal equity.
Education
Masters of Athletic Training (preferred);
Bachelors of Athletic Training (required).
Experience
1 year:
Newly graduated applicants will be considered. One or more years as an ATC, orthopedic/clinical preferred. (preferred)
Licenses & Certifications
Basic Life Support (required);
Licensed Athletic Trainer (required);
Cert Athletic Trainer (required).
