About the Role

CEG is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Transmission Line Engineer who are looking for an opportunity that would advance their career and expose them to new clients and projects. The Transmission Line Engineer is responsible for design, drawing packages, project meetings, and leading transmission projects to completion. CEG is open to candidates with proficiency in 3D modeling and drafting.

Candidates do not need to have extensive experience in line design work, but must be organized and have a high attention to detail.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop complete design packages for Transmission Lines compliant with client and regulatory requirements
  • Attend project meetings and calls related to Transmission Line scope
  • Interface with other scopes, typically Substation Engineering, to complete full projects
  • Establish and maintain project schedules and provide regular, timely progress reports and status updates
  • Assist with QA/QC, including reviewing the work of others on the team
  • Foster and maintain positive client relationships, be responsive both internally and externally
  • Complete projects in the allotted time and provide input on task timelines to help develop project schedule
  • Support strategic company and department initiatives
  • Travel to client sites and offices occasionally required, up to 20% of time
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering
  • Posses an EIT/PE or desire to pursue certifications
  • 1+ years of experience of Transmission Line experience of related Civil or Electrical Engineering experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with utility-scale renewable energy systems
  • Experience with transmission lines at voltage levels from 12.5kV to 345kV
  • Proficiency in PLS-CADD
  • Proficiency in PLS-POLE
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
