PE Civil Engineer – Renewable Energy (Solar, DG & Wind)
We’re representing an established engineering organization with national reach and deep expertise across infrastructure, energy, and environmental projects, seeking a highly motivated PE Civil Engineer to support a growing Renewable Energy portfolio.
This is a client‑facing position responsible for leading work procurement efforts and managing moderate to complex geotechnical engineering projects supporting renewable energy infrastructure. The role plays a key part in ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded through strong technical expertise, effective project management, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Develop scopes of work and prepare proposals for geotechnical engineering projects supporting solar and renewable energy infrastructure.
- Manage moderate to complex geotechnical projects, including scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality.
- Lead work procurement efforts and support business goals and growth initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting renewable energy market strategies.
- Identify and pursue DG, solar, and wind‑related business development opportunities.
- Coordinate with regional operations leaders to manage staffing, resources, and workloads.
- Prepare and review geotechnical engineering analyses and reports, providing practical, professional recommendations.
- Review and ensure quality of work performed by junior engineering staff; resolve technical and quality issues.
- Provide technical and project leadership, including mentoring junior staff.
- Collaborate with regional leadership to support transmission and power infrastructure projects as needed.

- Fundamental understanding of geology and geologic stability and performance mechanisms.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; willingness to obtain licensure in additional states.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting DG and/or utility‑scale solar or wind projects.
