PE Civil Engineer – Renewable Energy (Solar, DG & Wind)

We’re representing an established engineering organization with national reach and deep expertise across infrastructure, energy, and environmental projects, seeking a highly motivated PE Civil Engineer to support a growing Renewable Energy portfolio.

This is a client‑facing position responsible for leading work procurement efforts and managing moderate to complex geotechnical engineering projects supporting renewable energy infrastructure. The role plays a key part in ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded through strong technical expertise, effective project management, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop scopes of work and prepare proposals for geotechnical engineering projects supporting solar and renewable energy infrastructure.
  • Manage moderate to complex geotechnical projects, including scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality.
  • Lead work procurement efforts and support business goals and growth initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting renewable energy market strategies.
  • Identify and pursue DG, solar, and wind‑related business development opportunities.
  • Coordinate with regional operations leaders to manage staffing, resources, and workloads.
  • Prepare and review geotechnical engineering analyses and reports, providing practical, professional recommendations.
  • Review and ensure quality of work performed by junior engineering staff; resolve technical and quality issues.
  • Provide technical and project leadership, including mentoring junior staff.
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to support transmission and power infrastructure projects as needed.

Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required; willingness to obtain licensure in additional states.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting DG and/or utility‑scale solar or wind projects.
