Head of Product Development

Position Overview

Ocean Spray is hiring a Head of Product Development. This hybrid role is based out of Lakeville, MA or Seaport Boston, MA with Mondays and Fridays remote.

• Lead the Product Development, Culinary, and Sensory teams to deliver innovation with excellence and agility.
• Drive global growth initiatives by guiding teams in executing key initiatives that fuel top‑line and bottom‑line growth across global markets.
• Champion executional excellence by ensuring flawless execution from benchtop prototyping to full‑scale manufacturing, maintaining quality, consistency, and speed.
• Foster a collaborative culture by building a high‑performing, inclusive team environment that encourages creativity and accountability.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to prioritize strategy and deliver results.
• Serve as the strategic R&D partner for Beverage and Ingredients business units, contributing to strategic planning and innovation roadmaps.
• Deliver financial and operational results by aligning with budget forecasts and managing resource deployment across annual operating plans.
• Leverage external innovation ecosystems by identifying and engaging external partners to accelerate initiatives through open innovation.
• Integrate culinary, science, and technology to drive product designs that blend culinary artistry with advanced technology and nutrition.

• Education:
  
  Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, or related field (Required).
• Experience:
  
  At least 15 years in the consumer packaged goods industry, with 5+ years managing cross‑functional teams.
• Cross‑functional work:
  Proven ability to influence org‑wide decisions.
• Strategic impact:
  Experience in shaping business or functional strategy.
• Technical:
  Deep understanding of food science and nutrition applied to food and beverage products.
