The staff accountant will assist in managing the day-to-day aspects of the company s accounting functions. This role combines hands-on transaction management with higher-level oversight. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced small-business environment where accuracy and initiative are key.

• Financial Management
  • Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, and general ledger.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, bank reconciliations, and management reports.
  • Manage cash flow and bank reconciliations and monitor daily balances.
  • Coordinate month-end closings and assist with the annual audit.
  • Prepare and submit monthly sales tax returns.
• Process & System Oversight
  • Maintain and improve the accounting systems working with A/R and A/P clerks.
  • Ensure accurate posting of vendor invoices, customer invoices, and payments.
  • Streamline internal controls and implement efficient accounting workflows.
  • Support integration of accounting with order entry, purchasing and warehouse systems.

• Bachelor s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
• Proficiency with accounting software (Sage, or similar ERP systems).
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a small company environment and take ownership of multiple responsibilities.
