Assistant Controller

A large, well-established consumer goods organization is seeking a Senior Manager / Assistant Controller to support a critical phase of its finance transformation. This role is ideal for a senior accounting professional who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments and brings a strong operational mindset.

You’ll partner closely with Controller leadership during an active ERP go-live, supporting a lean team where adaptability, sound judgment, and hands-on execution are essential.

• Support core accounting operations during and post ERP go-live
• Post and review journal entries; identify and resolve accounting issues in real time
• Apply US GAAP to complex, evolving business scenarios
• Partner with accounting staff to troubleshoot discrepancies and improve processes
• Drive continuous improvement with an automation and efficiency mindset
• Serve as a senior accounting resource for day-to-day questions and problem solving

• 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience in manufacturing, CPG, retail, or similarly complex environments
• Hands-on operational background (comfortable posting entries and digging into details)
• Exposure to any ERP system (SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Dynamics, etc.)
• Prior experience supporting or stabilizing a system go-live is a plus
• Ability to work onsite in Lakeville, MA (2-3 days preferred)
