Position Overview
Double M Aviation is seeking an experienced Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Technician with a strong background in piston-powered general aviation aircraft, specifically Twin Cessnas, Beechcraft, and Piper models. This role is ideal for a technician who is comfortable working independently, understands GA inspection and troubleshooting processes, and takes pride in high-quality, detail-oriented maintenance.
Required Aircraft ExperienceCandidates should have 5+ years of hands-on experience working on one or more of the following aircraft:
- Cessna: 310, 414, 414A, 421, etc.
- Beechcraft:
Baron 58, 58P, Bonanza A36, etc. - Piper: PA-28, PA-32, PA-34 (Seneca), PA-46 (Malibu/Mirage), etc.
Experience with similar piston twin or complex single-engine aircraft will also be considered.
Responsibilities- Perform inspections, discrepancy correction, and routine maintenance
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and systems-related issues
- Accurately document maintenance actions in accordance with FAA regulations and company SOPs.
- Work collaboratively with maintenance leadership.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
- Valid FAA A&P Certificate
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass a background check at a level sufficient to apply for an airport badge.
- 5+ years of general aviation maintenance experience required
- Demonstrated experience with Twin Cessna and/or Beechcraft aircraft preferred
- Strong understanding of GA inspection processes and documentation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Professional, team-oriented mindset and strong attention to detail
