$21.73 + up to $0.50 increase every 6 months for 3 years Mon-Fri start between 5:45-6:30am - end between 2:15-3:00pm
SUMMARY
Responsible for the delivery of merchandise to customers within the expected time parameters.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
High School or equivalent and 1+ year of safe commercial driving experience (class A or B CDL). Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to problem solve and prioritize work. Excellent communication skills. Must be able to maintain a current DOT Medical Certification and comply with all DOT regulations as required. Ability to bend, stoop, climb, twist, stand, and lift between 60-100 lbs while loading and unloading delivery truck at each stop (15-30 stops per day).
Ability to sit and drive for extended periods of time.
- Deliver merchandise according to pre-determined route.
- Unload correct merchandise and check order, noting any corrections.
- Complete all assigned reports and paperwork at the end of day.
- Communicate with Manager any system or documentation problems identified throughout the day.
- Pick-up returned merchandise per return authorization.
- Comply with all DOT safety and documentation regulations.
- Perform safety and housekeeping duties as they pertain to Edward Don & Company and OSHA standards.
- Effectively communicates to customers and all levels of staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Degrees/Certificates Minimum
Required: - High School or GED or equivalent
- One-year route delivery experience or applicable background driving a straight truck
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License – Class B (Class A preferred)
- Must be able to read and understand English.
- Operate vehicle in a variety of traffic and weather conditions.
- Meet or exceed minimum productivity levels established by the Company.
- Meet or exceed established cases per error goals
- Demonstrate strong customer relations and problem resolution skills.
- Effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision.
- Develop a good working knowledge of product and inventory control techniques and procedures.
- Maintain ongoing inter-department communications related to routing, safety, and customer relations.

- Frequent lifting of product up to 50 lbs. during the shift, infrequent lifting to 80 lbs.
- Must be able to climb on and off the box of the truck.
- Frequent bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces.
