ABOUT THE JOB

Domino's Pizza is hiring an assistant manager. It is a challenging role that requires leadership, judgment, math skills, and multitasking ability. The position offers opportunity for advancement within the company and a work environment that aims to be fun and flexible.

• You are responsible for everything that happens during your shift, including cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations.
• Set the example and follow all policies and procedures 100% of the time, and expect the same from the crew.
• Staffing, paperwork, cost controls, cash control, food management, working to a schedule, maintaining image and adherence to standards, delivering great customer service, attendance and punctuality, transportation to/from work, store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability.

• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility daily.

Orientation and on-the-job training are provided.

• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.

• Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly (calculator may be used).
• Must be able to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal and written communication skills for taking and processing orders; eye-hand coordination for rapid and accurate movements.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Navigational skills to read a map and locate delivery addresses.
• Navigate adverse delivery environments (multi-story buildings, private homes, other delivery sites) while carrying product.

Exposure to varying weather conditions, in-store temperatures from 36 to 90+ degrees, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces up to 500+ degrees, sharp edges and moving parts, and driving/delivering under varying conditions.

• Visual and auditory awareness for communication and safety tasks.
• Depth and distance perception; ability to differentiate hot and cold surfaces; night driving vision.

Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone or with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, interact with people, analyze data, and make decisions.

Additional information

• Standing:
  Most tasks are performed while standing; work surfaces typically 36"–48" high.
• Walking:
  Short distances; includes travel between store, delivery vehicle, and customer location.
• Sitting:
  Paperwork typically done at a desk.
• Lifting/Carrying:
  Handling ingredient cases up to 50 pounds; carrying pizzas, dough, and supplies; lifting from floor to shelves up to 72" high.
• Pushing/Pulling/Climbing:
  Move trays on dollies; occasional stairs or ladder use for maintenance or price changes; delivery may require multiple flights of stairs.
• Reaching:
  Frequent reaching above/below 72"; occasional reaching to scoop cornmeal, wash surfaces, or answer phones.
• Driving:
  Deliver pizzas within designated area; multiple deliveries per shift.
• Machines/Tools:
  Pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, pizza cutter and peel, etc.

Requires Valid driver s license with a safe driving record and access to an insured vehicle for delivery.
