** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors at a government location by following site-specific security-related procedures and access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Control entry and exit by verifying identification, confirming authorization, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and maintaining visitor and/or contractor logs according to site requirements.

+ Monitor security-related alarms, cameras, and communications systems as assigned, and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns through the appropriate channels.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications with site contacts and public agency partners as directed.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, lobbies, and perimeter points as directed, documenting observations and reporting issues per post orders.

* + At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.

+ A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ A guard card and/or security license is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
