Position Summary
We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.
The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and much more.
- Pay: $14.00 to $17.00 per hour
- Earned commission on transactions: up to 8% on commissions; potential to increase hourly earnings with commission.

- Flexible hours: most stores open 9AM–6PM; many stores closed on Sundays.
- Earned Wage Access program available from day 2 of employment (withdraw up to 50% of wages earned, up to seven times per payroll cycle).
- Unlimited commission potential above hourly base rate.

- Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non-management open/close procedures.
- Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains product displays.
- Handles sales and loan transactions according to policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Manages cash and negotiable items in accordance with policies and regulations.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Effectively communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers and contributes to a positive customer experience.
- Completes assigned training and performs other related duties as needed.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
- Ability to assist external customers and retrieve products from exterior storage as needed.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team-oriented.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; basic math proficiency.
- Cash handling experience is preferred.
- Flexibility to work at multiple locations as needed; willingness to work weekends and holidays.
- Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission, based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Additional details are provided during the interview process.
