The Server Assistant plays an essential role in our restaurant team by ensuring that Guests expectations areexceeded. You will be focused on optimizing each guest’s experience by enhancing the speed ofservice, anticipating guest needs & living out our company purpose of “hospitality from our family to yours”.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests promptly and courteously, in accordance with company standards.
  • Assist with food and beverage delivery to tables, ensuring accuracy by seat number.
  • Support servers by marking tables, bussing and resetting tables, replenishing water, and maintaining a clean and tidy dining area.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all food and beverage offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
  • Wash and sanitize all work areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment as required.
  • Anticipate and address guest and service needs proactively; thank guests with genuine appreciation and communicate clearly and professionally at all times.
  • Greet every guest encountered during your shift with a warm, friendly smile.
  • Clear and reset tables efficiently, ensuring water glasses are consistently full and tables remain presentable.
  • Receive deliveries, properly store perishables, and rotate inventory according to food safety guidelines.
  • Set up assigned station with appropriate mise en place and ensure readiness for service.
  • Ensure clean wares are stored in designated areas and cabinets.
  • Present food, beverages, and table setups in a clean, organized, and visually appealing manner.
  • Inspect cleaned dishware and utensils; stack properly and send back any soiled items for re-washing.
  • Break down service trays and dishware as needed.
  • Clean and mop assigned areas of the restaurant and back-of-house.
  • Monitor food storage temperatures and rotate product to prevent spoilage.
  • Dispose of glass and waste in appropriate containers; break down cardboard and place recyclables in designated bins.
  • Escort gueststo lobby restrooms as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance and ensure uniform standards are upheld at all times.
  • Read and understand Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to anticipate special service requirements.
  • Follow all hotel procedures for lost and found items and assist with returning them appropriately.
  • Coordinate with the host to address guest requests or concerns promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure guest and associate safety by following established safety, emergency, and key control procedures.
  • Comply with all company policies, safety protocols, and complete required safety training and certifications.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company standards.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to meet evolving business demands.
Job Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a food and beverage or hospitality setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and allergens is a plus.
  • Dependable and punctual with a team-first attitude.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to maintain a positive and respectful demeanor at all times.
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 35pounds.
  • Requires prolonged periods of standing and walking, as well as frequent bending, stretching, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
  • Manual dexterity to carry trays, set tables, and handle dishware and glassware with precision.
  • Visual acuity to monitor table settings, cleanliness, and presentation standards.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, and loud noise levels.
