Essential Responsibilities- Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose illness and injury
- Utilize diagnostic equipment and interpret lab and imaging results
- Counsel pet owners on preventative care and treatment options
- Perform surgical procedures and prescribe medications
- Provide supportive, compassionate end-of-life care guidance
- Maintain accurate, detailed medical records
- Adhere to veterinary ethics, laws, and practice protocols
- DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
- Active or eligible Florida veterinary license
- Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD licensure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, collaborative, and positive team approach
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently and assist with larger pets or equipment
- $115,000–$150,000/year
