Registered Nurse (RN)Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for planning and delivering nursing care to patients/residents requiring long‑term and/or rehabilitative care.
Registered Nurse (RN) Major Duties and Critical Tasks- Work using the guidelines established by the Nurse Practice Act, facility policies and procedures, and sound nursing judgment.
- Assess, plan and evaluate nursing care delivered to patients/residents requiring long‑term and/or rehabilitation care.
- Deliver nursing care to patients/residents requiring long‑term and/or rehabilitative care.
- Implement the patient/resident plan of care and evaluate the patient/resident response.
- Direct and supervise care provided by other nursing personnel.
- Provide input in the formulation and evaluation of standards of care.
- Maintain knowledge of necessary documentation requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of equipment set‑up, maintenance and use (e.g., monitors, infusion devices, drain devices, etc.).
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with patient/resident rights, relating to all patient/resident/personnel information.
- Provide patient/resident/family/caregiver education as appropriate and/or directed.
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner in compliance with unit and facility policies.
- Work rotating shifts, holidays and weekends as scheduled.
Required Education And Experience
- Must be a graduate of a basic education program in professional nursing.
- A minimum of one year medical/surgical nursing experience in an acute care (hospital) setting or long‑term care setting (acute/critical care is preferred).
- Must possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state(s) of practice. Must have a reliable source of transportation.
