Position Details – Lakeland Regional Health is a leading medical center located in Central Florida with a legacy spanning over a century. Shift: Weekdays with Occasional Weekends

The Advanced Practitioner Registered Nurse (APRN) functions as a credentialed member of the medical staff and works within the scope of an approved practice protocol under the general supervision of a physician. Key duties include managing the direct patient care of selected populations, conducting initial assessments, performing procedures as privileged, preparing patients for discharge, and completing history and physical examinations and discharge summaries.

The APRN utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with the healthcare team to design, implement, and measure safe, cost‑effective evidence‑based care strategies. They also mentor colleagues, provide education, and contribute to the advancement of nursing practice at local, state, and national levels.

• Engages in clinical and professional leadership activities such as shared governance, committees, and specialty‑based program development.

• Essential:
  Demonstrates excellence in critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and effective communication.
• Nonessential:
  One year of experience as an Advanced Practitioner Registered Nurse in an ambulatory or acute care setting.

• Essential:
  Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field.
• Essential:
  Minimum one‑year experience in an Acute Care setting.
• Essential:
  Current license as an Advanced Practitioner Registered Nurse.
• Essential:
  Certifications required per department or hospital policies.
• Preferred:
  Board Certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
