Job DescriptionThe Home Health RN Clinical Manager is a crucial member of our healthcare team, responsible for managing clinical operations at our home health agency in Lakeland, Florida. This role requires a deep understanding of Medicare guidelines and regulations, expertise in the OASIS (Outcome and Assessment Information Set) data collection, and strong leadership skills to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Management:
Oversee the daily clinical operations of the office, ensuring compliance with Medicare guidelines and regulations. - Review and evaluate patient medical records and OASIS assessments to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
- OASIS Assessment:
Conduct comprehensive OASIS assessments for Medicare patients, accurately documenting their health status and care needs. - Review OASIS data submitted by clinical staff to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Medicare requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with OASIS data collection changes and ensure staff training is updated accordingly.
- Patient Care:
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans that align with Medicare regulations and the specific needs of each patient. - Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to care plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on Medicare-covered services and ensure their understanding of the care process.
- Compliance and Reporting:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicare policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure the facility's compliance. - Prepare and submit Medicare-required reports, documentation, and quality assurance data in a timely and accurate manner.
- Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise clinical staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs. - Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and offer opportunities for staff development and growth.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the clinical team.
- Quality Assurance:
Implement and oversee quality assurance programs to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to Medicare patients. - Monitor clinical outcomes and make necessary improvements to enhance patient satisfaction and safety.
- Budget and Resource Management:
Manage the budget and allocate resources efficiently to ensure optimal patient care and operational effectiveness.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with Medicare regulations and OASIS data collection.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment and adapt to changing regulations.
