Data Research Analyst ; On-Site

Position: Data Research Analyst I (On-Site)
* Demonstrated expertise with data management computer applications, query tools, and relational databases to extract data from existing systems, join large datasets, manipulate data (e.g., import data, transform and derive variables), and aggregate data using SQL, R, Python, or other coding languages to create datasets that facilitate robust reporting and analysis.
* Demonstrated ability in the use of business intelligence tools and statistical software such as Tableau or equivalent to transform data, and produce tables, and visual displays that best meet audience understanding.
* Skill and knowledge of data visualization and dashboarding techniques and principles. Understanding data modeling and modern data warehouse structures.
* Knowledge of higher education information systems (e.g., Ellucian Banner and Salesforce ) to maximize reporting.
* Excellent interpretive data skills along with interpersonal skills to effectively communicate data constructs.
* Strong organizational skills with the demonstrated ability to establish priorities, manage multiple activities, meet deadlines to complete a variety of assignments with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy and integrity.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
* Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team toward common goals, and to coordinate efforts and collaborate with a variety of individuals.
* Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information and materials.
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics, mathematics, or a related major field of study.
* 2 years of relevant working experience in a quantitative field. (Additional post-Bachelor’s course work and projects may substitute for relevant experience.
* Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative field of Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related major field of study.
* 3+ years of working experience in a quantitative field.
* Tableau Certification
