Job Title: Patient Coordinator

A Patient Coordinator is trained to act as the first point of contact for our patients where they set the tone for the patient’s visit through excellent patient care. This employee will also perform the necessary administrative responsibilities needed to create a smooth check-in/out experience for patients.
Responsibilities- Greet patients when they arrive
- Check patients in and out for their appointments
- Verify medical and vision insurances
- Effectively communicate with patients, doctors and managers
- Answer inquiries through phone, email and in-person requests
- Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone)
- Display a professional attitude, greet patients promptly with a smile, and thank them when they leave
- Answer phones (external and internal); assure prompt, courteous service at all times
- Practice urgency with patients’ time, as well as Doctor’s time and schedule
- Manage patient flow in the office
- Knowledge of common fees charged for common visits and collect correct payments
- Complete daily reconciliations / close day / countdown cash drawer
- General office duties and cleaning as assigned by manager
- Hours:
Full Time - Our offices are open Monday-Friday 8am-5pm; you may need to work a little earlier/later as needed
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
- Favorable result on Background Check required
- Basic computer skills
- Excitement to learn and grow
- Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a courteous, professional manner at all times
- Desire to gain industry knowledge and training
- Demonstrates initiative in accomplishing practice goals
- Ability to grow, adapt, and accept change
- Consistently creating a positive work environment by being team-oriented and patient-focused
- Commitment to work over 40 hours to meet the needs of the business
- Reliable transportation that would allow employee to go to multiple work locations with minimal notice

One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- This role requires a variety of physical activities to effectively perform essential job functions. The position involves frequent walking, sitting, and standing, with bending, stooping, and reaching. Employees must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs. Strong fine motor skills and use of hands are essential. Visual and auditory acuity is required. Occasional driving or climbing may also be necessary.
