DescriptionThis is a professional position that collaborates with childcare providers to enhance quality and implement best practices. Work involves serving as a mentor and coach, working closely with teachers and childcare providers to help them achieve their goals.
Work is performed under general supervision with limited latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment based on professional education and previous experience.
Coalition staff may be one on one with children in the Coalition office reception area while parents are obtaining services. Additionally, staff are expected to participate in Coalition sponsored events and may be one on one with children at activity booths.

Performs other job-related functions and special projects as assigned.
- Utilizes data-driven approaches to assist teachers in setting objectives and developing coaching plans for student improvement
- Offers technical support to childcare professionals, creating effective learning spaces and fostering growth and school readiness
- Maintains regular contact with childcare providers, providing assistance in curriculum, safety, program assessments, and other areas
- Conducts thorough provider screening processes, ensuring alignment with Coalition standards and requirements
- Monitors and provides comprehensive training to childcare providers, ensuring adherence to best practices and promoting continual improvement in educational approaches
- Assists in conducting program assessments, reviewing reports, and creating action plans for improvement
- Participates in ongoing calibration sessions and encourages teachers' professional development
- Manages detailed records, completes required reports, and handles paperwork
- Acts as a liaison between childcare providers and the Coalition
- Assists with specified Quality initiatives/programs and supports professional development program expansion
- Plans and coordinates training sessions, handles resources, and facilitates specific training topics

This position must be available to work flexible schedules, including occasional weekend/evenings as required. A valid Florida driver’s license, availability of an automobile during work hours, and the ability to travel locally, regionally, or statewide for site visits, training and other job-related activities and functions are required.
EducationBachelor’s degree in education, early childhood education or related field.
Additional RequirementsExperience and knowledge in early childhood education.
Must be able to obtain and maintain current certification in research-based program assessment tools and approved coaching models.
Preferred Qualifications- Early childhood teaching experience with knowledge of appropriate use of classroom management techniques, curriculum implementation and highly effective instruction.
- Three (3) years of experience working as a program assessor, technical assistance specialist, and/or early childhood mentor/coach/trainer.
Tasks are regularly performed inside without exposure to adverse environmental conditions (e.g., dirt, cold, rain, fumes).
