Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant

• The Senior Accountant will prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
• Support month-end and year-end close processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement
• The Senior Accountant will assist with audits, tax filings, and compliance reporting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities
• Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on best practices

Qualifications of the Senior Accountant

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within distribution, manufacturing, or related industry
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
