Duties Help

* You will participate in design reviews, assess contractor progress, resolve technical challenges, and provide engineering guidance to ensure project objectives are met.

* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Providing Systems Engineering and Analysis by applying professional electronics engineering principles to analyze complex aircraft avionics and electronic/electrical systems (e.g., analog, digital, RF, Power). This includes assessing specifications and schematics to determine the feasibility of developing and using Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and Test Program Sets (TPS) for system repair and diagnostics;
2) Performing technical evaluations of contractor proposals for feasibility, risk, and cost-effectiveness;
3) Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of the government acquisition process. This involves developing key technical and planning documents (such as Statements of Work, Systems Engineering Plans, and Test Plans);
4) Providing technical oversight and contractor/organic management by guiding and evaluating the entire TPS development lifecycle. This includes participating in contractor/organic design reviews, assessing progress against contract requirements, resolving technical challenges, and providing technical direction to ensure project objectives are successfully met;
5) Exhibiting specific knowledge of the Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) family of testers. This includes a deep understanding of its capabilities and proficiency in using CASS ATLAS programming languages for the development of TPS software. This also includes participating in the formal acceptance testing of all hardware and software to verify that contract requirements have been fulfilled and to provide final recommendations on system acceptance.
