ECHO Incorporated is seeking a Label Machine Operator I to operate labeling equipment and support production by ensuring accurate label application, product quality, and compliance with safety standards. This role works closely with the Group Leader to support assembly operations.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Operate and manage labeling machines to ensure smooth, consistent, and efficient operation.
  • Monitor machine performance continuously and take immediate corrective action in response to malfunctions, irregularities, or quality concerns.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
  • Accurately measure and verify label placement to ensure compliance with quality specifications; adjust machine settings as needed to maintain tolerances.
  • Document quality checks and report discrepancies or concerns to the Group Leader or Shift Lead.
  • Inspect labels for defects or nonconformance and dispose of scrap material in accordance with company scrap procedures.
  • Safely transport full skid loads of product to designated staging areas using a pallet jack.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including daily cleaning of machines and equipment, particularly during shift changeovers.
  • Perform job duties that require frequent lifting, maneuvering, and handling of materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods while performing machine operation and monitoring tasks.
  • Frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend to access equipment, materials, and product.
  • Maintain constant awareness of surroundings while working near moving machinery and production equipment.
  • Follow all safety protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Communicate consistently with the Group Leader throughout the shift regarding machine performance, safety concerns, and production delays.
Qualifications:
  • Manufacturing or production experience is helpful but not required.
  • Willingness to learn machine operation and follow training.
  • Ability to follow safety and quality standards.
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
