ECHO is hiring a Distribution Industrial Engineer. The Industrial Engineer will design, analyze, and optimize the systems and processes within a distribution center or warehouse to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability. The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 based on experience and qualifications. This is an on-site position based at our Lake Zurich facility.

- Apply industrial engineering principles, data analysis, and technology to manage the flow of goods and resources, eliminate waste, and reduce operational costs.
- Conduct time studies, analyze workflows, and identify bottlenecks to streamline distribution center processes, such as picking, packing, and shipping.
- Develop facility and workstation layouts using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to optimize material flow, space utilization, and ergonomics.
- Establish and maintain engineered labor standards and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate and report on productivity.
- Act as a subject matter expert for new technologies and automation, such as robotics, conveyor systems, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Perform cost analyses, prepare business cases, and manage capital equipment projects to reduce operating expenses and improve profitability.
- Partner with other departments, including operations, IT, and maintenance, to ensure alignment on business goals and implement improvements.
- Provide training to operational staff on new methods and systems to ensure proper and efficient execution.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and statistical analysis skills are necessary for developing standards and analyzing performance.
- Experience with WMS, ERP, and CAD software required.
- Advanced Excel including Pivot Tables, V-Lookup functions, and Macros.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Lead projects and work effectively cross functionally.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar discipline.
