What You’ll DoAs a Warehouse person, you are responsible for efficiently managing and organizing inventory within the warehouse using various types of forklifts. This role requires expertise in operating different forklift models, including sit-down, stand-up, and high-reach lifts, to safely move, stack, and organize products. The Warehouse person also ensures proper inventory control, maintains a clean and organized warehouse, and collaborates with other team members to meet daily operational goals.
The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and proficient in the use of warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Operate a forklift.
- Scan material/product as it comes from incoming trailers and production lines and transport it to various warehouse locations.
- Stack product on floor and racks.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, containers, etc. in a safe and efficient manner to meet productivity needs.
- Verify the Bills of Lading for all deliveries.
- Complete all GMP, quality and production documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Complete the daily forklift inspection as required in the forklift operations requirements.
- Participation in plant safety program is required.
- Select orders and maintain accurate RFX data.
- Clean, operate and conduct basic troubleshooting on the de-palletizer and palletizer to keep can/bottle lines operating at the desired efficiency.
- Keep the warehouses organized and ensure all storage locations have accurate inventory counts.
- Maintain proper housekeeping in unloading and de-palletizer areas.
- Rotate to other jobs as needs dictate.
- Perform any other duties assigned.
- Interact cordially with co-workers.
- Regular attendance required.
- Active participation in the plant safety program is required.
- Due to the significant amount of steps/stairs in the production facility, employees must have the ability to navigate steps/stairs in a safe manner.
- Must be able to read, write & speak English and perform basic math.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must pass the Basic Skills Assessment for this position with a minimum of 80%.
- Must have six months forklift operation experience.
- Must have experience in a rack environment and be able to stack product and select orders.
- Must have experience loading and unloading trailers.
- Inventory barcode experience preferred.
- Experience with UPS and Fed Ex paperwork preferred.
- Must be able to obtain an FNG Class A Forklift Operator License within 30 days.
- Must be able to lift 47 lbs occasionally.
- Must be able to perform physical labor on a daily basis.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to learn the RFX inventory control system.
- Basic Computer Skill Required.
