Emergency Department Nurse Residency - Mercy St. Louis

Location:

Mercy St. Louis Emergency Department – a Level 1 Trauma Center with a dedicated Adult ER and Mercy Kids ER.

Program:
Graduate Nurse Residency – 16‑week residency, full‑time nights (7am–7pm) with 3‑12 hour shifts.

Upcoming Residency Dates:
Summer 2026.

• Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients.
• Maintain professional accountability and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct‑care givers.
• Coordinate patient care in collaboration with other departments.
• Ensure patient rights and confidentiality of patient information are upheld.
• Perform duties consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards.

• Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Licensure: Current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure; must meet all state board requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or completion of the BLS course within 30 days of hire.
