Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Director of Healthcare Services for a mission-driven, values-based organization dedicated to providing compassionate, person-centered care and long-term well-being support for an aging population. This is a hybrid role based in the Portland, OR area with regular travel across multiple regions in the United States and limited travel to Canada.
Position OverviewIn this senior leadership role, the Director of Healthcare Services oversees a comprehensive, holistic health and well-being program supporting individuals across a variety of living environments, including independent settings, small communities, and care facilities. This position partners closely with organizational leadership and internal teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality care that adapts to evolving needs over time. The role blends strategic oversight, people leadership, and hands‑on collaboration with healthcare partners to advance dignity, safety, and quality of life.

- Develop and implement care policies, procedures, and programs aligned with organizational priorities and evolving needs
- Partner with internal leadership and external healthcare providers to coordinate services and ensure continuity of care
- Oversee health-related data systems, budgets, and utilization of public and community-based programs
- Guide organization-wide initiatives focused on safety, education, and quality of life for the populations served
- Demonstrated leadership experience in healthcare, eldercare, or community-based health systems
- Strong knowledge of aging-related care, care coordination, and health systems navigation
- Proven ability to lead teams with empathy, cultural humility, and respect for diverse lived experiences
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and change-management skills
- Willingness and ability to travel as required for program oversight and collaboration
This role offers a competitive compensation package of $135-150K, commensurate with experience and scope of responsibility, along with a comprehensive benefits program that supports overall well-being.
