Project Management Intern (Fall/Spring/Summer)

Western States Fire Protection is looking to add an Intern to its team to work 24-40 hours per week. The Intern will report to the Contract Division Manager and support the Department with multiple projects, reports, as well as with day-to-day activities.

This is an on-site position. This role is based in our Lake Oswego branch.

Job Qualifications
  • Must be pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Fire Science, Project Management, or other Construction/Fire Protection related degree.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
  • Proficiency or knowledge in Auto Cad related programs is a plus.
  • Possess sound communication skills; both verbal and written.
  • Ability to coordinate and work well with others.
  • Must be able to pass a post-offer drug test and background check.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and ability to drive.
  • Willing to learn project management methodologies and phrases.
Job Responsibilities
  • May involve performing duties of a Fire Protection Designer.
  • Perform Site visits and Audits.
  • May require lifting objects up to 25lbs.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Assist in inter department coordination and help as needed.
