We are currently looking to hire a new music teacher who can teach piano, guitar and voice. Applicants do not need to be professional performers, but should have a background in teaching.
ResponsibilitiesBy teaching, we mean instructing students, building a strong rapport with both a student and/or parent, moving through a pathway for personal growth for a student by using method books, supplementary materials and exploration with personal creation. Teachers should be able to provide action items for students at each lesson that builds on the musical pathway and growth of the student.
Piano is by far the most popular instrument chosen by students starting out. We like having instructors who can teach other instruments because sometimes students just need to experiment through a few instruments before finding which one there are passionate playing.
If you can teach other instruments other than piano, guitar and voice, that is helpful, but not needed. If there are any other instruments that applicants are versed in, please provide that in your response to this post or the resume or cover letter.
We want our teachers to grow and expand their personal journey with music as much as our students. We encourage exploration of other instruments so that teachers can grow with us and learn to open their teaching repertoire.
QualificationsApplicants do not need to be professional performers, but should have a background in teaching.
