Reporting directly to the Senior Site Superintendent, you'll serve as their eyes and ears across the property—keeping multiple teams aligned, identifying issues before they become problems, and ensuring this exceptional project stays on track.

This is a hands‑on, field‑based role for someone who thrives on movement, variety, and problem‑solving. You'll work across the entire site daily, translating high‑end architectural designs into reality through skilled execution and confident leadership.

This position is available immediately and expected to last 12‑18 months.

JOB DUTIES
  • Assist in subcontractor coordination to maintain schedule and budget; take ownership of team deliverables
  • Proactively identify and resolve field issues while maintaining project quality standards and historic property requirements
  • Conduct progress assessments and reporting; assist with material coordination, and time analysis
  • Serve as the communication bridge between field personnel and site office; provide administrative support to the Senior Site Superintendent as needed
  • Perform advanced carpentry work as needed to maintain project momentum and quality standards
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent in years of experience)
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant construction experience with a demonstrated track record of performing increasingly complex, hands‑on carpentry and other construction tasks
  • Professionalism in working with architects, subcontractors, consultants, engineers, and co‑workers
  • Strong attention to detail
, deadlines, and commitment to quality; willingness to do whatever is needed to support the project and the team
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, schematics, and structural drawings
  • Forward‑thinking approach: anticipates project needs and organizes activities accordingly
  • Ownership mindset: deeply committed to project success, teammates, and company values
  • Leadership: inspires and motivates others, resolves conflict while minimizing drama, and adapts effectively to changing site conditions
  • Must meet the strenuous physical demands of the job: sit, stand, walk on uneven surfaces across a multi‑acre site, reach, bend, twist, stoop, crouch, climb and balance; frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; operate / drive machinery; frequent use of hands and tools
  • Must live in the local area and be authorized to work in the U.S.
BENEFITS & COMPENSATION

Group Medical / Vision / Dental, Paid Time Off (PTO), 401k with Company Contribution.

Pay rate is $60 - $70 per hour (DOE). Please note the posted range is a base and will be adjusted for skillset and experience.

This is a full‑time, non‑exempt (hourly) position based at our construction site south of Portland, with standard hours Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required during various phases of the project and will be compensated at time‑and‑a‑half in accordance with Oregon wage and hour laws and FLSA standards.

The Lead Carpenter will be required to drive between areas of the site and occasionally to suppliers or other locations, and must meet the Company's driving requirements.
