Overview

Commercial Traveling Superintendent

Location:

Western United States (Primary regions include CA, AZ, NV, CO, UT, TX, NM)

Position Type:
Full-Time | Traveling

Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 base (commensurate with experience) + per diem, travel, and benefits

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all on-site construction activities for ground-up multifamily projects
  • Oversee Affordable Housing and Senior Living developments from start to finish
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and field staff
  • Enforce project schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols
  • Conduct daily site walks and weekly progress meetings
  • Review plans, specifications, and scopes to ensure accurate execution
  • Maintain compliance with local codes, AHJ requirements, and HUD/LIHTC standards (when applicable)
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Owners, and Design Teams
  • Manage inspections, punch lists, and project closeout
  • Travel extensively between project sites as required
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a Superintendent on ground-up multifamily construction projects
  • Demonstrated experience with Affordable Housing and/or Senior Living developments
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction means, methods, and sequencing
  • Proven leadership and subcontractor management experience
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and schedules
  • OSHA 30 (preferred)
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the western U.S., including Texas and New Mexico
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working on LIHTC, HUD, or other regulated housing projects
  • Experience managing multiple phases or large-scale multifamily communities
  • Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.)

  • Base Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 (DOE)
