Larson Contracting Central LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Commercial Construction Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in our preconstruction process by preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects across Southern Minnesota and Northern Iowa. You will analyze proposals, review blueprints and specifications, coordinate with trade partners, and ensure bids are completed on time and within scope.

• Review and evaluate cost estimates by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and purchase orders for all materials and project components.
• Analyze project scope to ensure complete and accurate bid submissions.
• Manage bid pricing from vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive and accurate proposals.
• Perform detailed cost analysis to support project budgeting and profitability.
• Communicate with trade partners and internal team members regarding new and ongoing projects.
• Ensure timely completion of all estimates to meet bid deadlines.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
• Assist in value engineering efforts to identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction estimating.
• Sage 100 experience would be preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Construction background preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to understand and interpret blueprints, specifications, and scope of work.
• Customer service mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and trade partners.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (Construction Management, Engineering, or related field).

• Standard daytime business hours

• In-person at our Lake Mills, IA office
• Projects primarily located throughout Southern Minnesota and Northern Iowa
