The Civil / Structural Engineer will work closely with a team of engineers and technical staff to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
Requirements
• Perform, and review engineering design and structural analysis for steel structures and concrete foundations
• Collect, review, interpret, and integrate design requirements from customers, suppliers, and the parent company
• Prepare and review engineering technical requirements to support the overall project proposal and bid strategy
• Review customer specifications and prepare technical clarifications and deviations
• Prepare and review budgets, bids, technical requirements, and commercial requirements
• Plan and review deliverable schedules, including project documentation and equipment
• Work with suppliers to develop budgets and pricing estimates
• Ensure arrangement and foundation interface information meets requirements
• Interface with internal and external teams to ensure that design interface information for structural commodities is accurate and properly accounted for
• Establish corrective actions to reduce nonconformances and improve quality
• Represent the company in meetings with clients and other stakeholders
• Complete projects on time, in budget, and in accordance with applicable codes and standards
• Smart Plant 3D/ Revit:
Familiarity with concepts fundamental to creation of integrated design in a 3D environment and extraction of technical detail is desired.
• STAAD/ SAP
2000/ GT Strudl:
Familiarity with Structural Design tools is desired.
• AutoCAD/ Micro Station:
Familiarity with 2D CAD drafting tools is desired.
• Bachelor's degree (BS) in Civil Engineering required. A minimum of 5 years of work experience in a related engineering field. Licensed Professional Engineer is preferred, particularly those with experience in gas turbine design, auxiliary systems, nuclear engineering, or foundations for rotating equipment.
• Strong familiarity with ASCE 7, IBC, AISC 360, ACI 318, OSHA, and industry standards. Familiarity with AISC 341, ACI 351, DIN 4024, ISO 1940 is a plus.
• Travel - 10%
