Overview
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.
Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You'll collaborate within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assessment:
Admission and ongoing assessment of patient’s condition; provide nursing care to meet the patient’s physical, psychological and spiritual needs; notify doctor of changes in assessment that require attention. - Planning:
Design, direct, evaluate, and document the plan of care, patient/family teaching, and the transition of care plan to include a safe, appropriate discharge. Work with other clinical disciplines to meet specialized patient care and discharge needs. Formulate a plan of care and daily goals that considers the patient’s individualized needs. - Implementation:
Prepare patients physically, psychologically, and spiritually for treatments, surgeries and diagnostic studies to help reduce patient anxiety; know patients conditions and report significant changes to Charge Nurse/Team Leader and/or physician; implement patient safety initiatives and protocols including medication safety practices, physician orders, and consult notifications. - Evaluation:
Reassess patients at appropriate intervals following interventions; notify physician as necessary to modify interventions; adjust nursing care to meet changing patient needs. - Report
Skills:
Provide and receive bedside handoffs with family participation; deliver accurate and comprehensive reports to the oncoming shift to establish continuity of care; receive reports from off-going shift and delegate tasks to maintain continuity of care according to coworker s experience, abilities and the patient s acuity. - Environment & Patient Safety:
Maintain a safe patient and work environment; promptly remove used and soiled equipment and linen to appropriate locations; align with national and organizational goals to improve quality, patient safety, and satisfaction; report all patient safety and hazard concerns immediately.
- 1 year of recent RN experience required
- Associate Degree in Nursing required
- American Heart BLS required
- Registered Nurse License required
- 3 plus years of recent hospital experience preferred
