The ideal candidate will have experience in performing journey-level maintenance activities for any of the following areas:
Facilities Maintenance, the operations of light and heavy equipment, operations of hand tools, and minor equipment repairs. Knowledge of construction safety is required.
Lake Havasu City is seeking a versatile and skilled professional to join our team. This role is essential to the maintenance and safety of our city’s facilities. If you are a technician with a broad skill set in construction trades and medium to heavy equipment operation, we invite you to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Facility Maintenance:
Perform skilled repairs of city buildings, including plumbing, electrical wiring, drywall, and roofing. - Equipment Operation:
Safely operate medium to heavy-duty machinery. - Public Safety:
Execute traffic control and flagging duties; conduct daily inspections of electrical equipment to ensure operational safety. - Project Oversight:
Manage materials, track project timelines, ensure equipment safety and proper tool usage.
- Environment:
This position can involve outdoor manual labor in hot temperatures. - Schedule:
May require flexibility for non-standard or rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency callbacks.
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED. - Experience:
Moderate experience in building construction, maintenance, or a related field. - Special Requirement: A Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a Tanker Endorsement is strictly required at the time of hire. The selected candidate who does not possess the required certification will be considered a trainee at the time of hire.

Proficiency in using specialized hand tools and the ability to maintain accurate digital records and work orders.
