Counter Sales

Overview

We are seeking a self‑motivated, customer service‑oriented a Counter Sales role. This full‑time position focuses on order entry at the sales counter and includes related duties such as warehouse stocking, shipping products, and loading trucks. The workweek is Monday through Friday, with opportunities for overtime during the busy season.

• Enter orders at the point of sale using the company computer system
• Interact with customers over the phone, via email, and in person
• Greet customers with a friendly attitude
• Maintain basic computer and phone skills
• Communicate to customers the correct product for their needs
• Explain product pricing and sales terms
• Create sales orders and quotes to estimate project costs
• Schedule truck deliveries efficiently
• Coordinate communication between manager, employees, and clients
• Show honesty, courtesy, and respect to customers and employees at all times
• Keep the work environment clean and organized
• Learn basic product knowledge available to customers
• Inform management of special order material customers need
• Assist with inventory cycle counts
• Perform order picking, staging, and replenishment
• Handle shipping and receiving tasks
• Load and unload delivery vehicles
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Basic computer knowledge and Internet use
• Experience with irrigation/landscaping products (not required)
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred but not required
• Forklift experience helpful
• Ability to lift 75 lbs; 50 lbs on a repetitive basis
• Pre‑employment drug test required
