Essential Job Functions:

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers, striving to pack at least five items per bag without damaging contents.
• Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing customer's merchandise from baskets for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
• Inform customers of grocery specials and return merchandise to shelves.
• Gather and return shopping carts to designated areas.
• Clean spills, collect trash inside the store and parking lot, and maintain cleanliness of all areas.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise and understand store layout for locating products and conducting price checks.
• Reinforce safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and report issues to management.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers with questions about products.
• Follow all applicable laws, safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally and acting with honesty and integrity.
• Support and assist customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Retail experience is preferred but not required.
