Overview

Position Summary
:
Manages the daily operations of the assigned department or function to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
  • Manage staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Perform and oversee scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
  • Monitor departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determine and justify needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitor usage, and oversee proper working order and/or stock supplies.
  • Assess the quality of patient care delivered and coordinate patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments. May provide patient care when necessary.
  • Create and foster an environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Integrate evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information.
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensuring quality standards.
  • Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff.

  • Education
    :
    Bachelor s Degree in related field preferred. Applicable work experience may be used in lieu of education.

    ACLS, BLS. Licenses:

Works in well-lit, ventilated and climate controlled office environment with routine office equipment; some equipment has moving mechanical parts.

Noise level in the work environment is typical for an office and/or hospital environment.

Minimum overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
