Responsibilities
  • Certified Medical Assistant performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office.
  • Utilize your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serve as a patient-care innovator to shape exceptional patient journeys and leverage cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.
  • Under the supervision of a healthcare provider, perform a variety of basic patient care activities.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent Preferred;
Associate's degree Preferred

License: CMA or RMA or CCMA via the AAMA or NHA must be obtained within 60 days of hire.

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Essential Functions
  • Under the supervision of physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
  • Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given.
  • Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas.
  • Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
  • Exhibits exceptional customer service with patients and teammates.
Required Skills

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
