Responsibilities- Assist respiratory therapists with preparing for and providing patient care.
- Deliver routine therapy as delegated by a therapist.
- Respond to codes and calls for emergent assistance.
- Assess patient conditions and deliver appropriate treatment.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions.
- Educate the patient and family about the patient s illness and provide information about community support groups and other resources.
- Monitor, receive, stock, and distribute respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders.
- Maintain storage areas with required supply levels and equipment.
- Disassemble, clean, and sterilize equipment, and perform preventative maintenance and calibration of machines.

- Applicants should be a graduate of a program of discipline. Additional requirements include:
- Certified Respiratory Care Therapist.
- Valid and current state board of respiratory care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required one month from hire/transfer date.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) six months from hire/transfer date.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) six months from hire/transfer date.
