Overview
Havasu Regional Medical Center
Description The HIMS Technician is responsible for chart pick-up, assembly and/or analysis of medical records, filing of charts and/or filing of loose reports into charts; responding to external fax requests for medical records; retrieving records for various committees, departments and physician review; answering and responding to internal/external phone calls and supports other department employees in their tasks as trained. Performs other duties as assigned.

- Filing of charts and/or filing of loose reports into charts
- Responding to external fax requests for medical records
- Retrieving records for various committees, departments and physician review
- Answering and responding to internal/external phone calls
- Support other department employees in their tasks as trained
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 6 months of previous Health Information/Medical Record experience preferred
- Medical terminology class preferred
