Job Description - Cardiac-Echocardiology Tech  | Havasu Regional Medical Center

The Echocardiography technologist is responsible for providing echocardiography services to include 2D echo studies, Transesophageal Echo Studies, and Stress Echos to patient populations adolescent to adult. Specially trained echo technicians may provide diagnostic echo services to neonatal and pediatric patient populations. Completes all required reports and documentation. Provide patient/family education when appropriate. Works cooperatively and effectively with physicians, nursing, ancillary and support personnel to provide quality patient care.

Mentors echo technicians with lesser skill base, orients and trains when appropriate. Effectively communicates with all members of the patient care team. Strives daily to give all customers very good care and promotes HRMC standards of behavior and other duties as assigned.

• Provide echocardiography services including 2D echo studies, Transesophageal Echo Studies, and Stress Echos for adolescent to adult patients. Specially trained echo technicians may provide diagnostic echo services for neonatal and pediatric patients.
• Complete all required reports and documentation.
• Provide patient/family education when appropriate.
• Work cooperatively and effectively with physicians, nursing, ancillary and support personnel to provide quality patient care.
• Mentor echo technicians with lesser skill base, orient and train when appropriate.

• Graduate from an ADRMS (American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography) approved program. ARDMS Accredited School of Cardiac Sonography.
• One year experience is preferred in hospital setting.
• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography)
