Job Description - Medical Assistant - Physician Services (3240) )

The primary purpose of the Medical Assistant – position is to assist in providing medical care and administrative functions. Performs various duties related to the Physician’s Clinic in accordance with established policies and procedures. The Medical Assistant has the responsibility of reporting any unusual occurrences, patient and/or employee issues, work related accidents to the Office Coordinator/Practice Manager. Maintains quality delivery of patient care by complying with TJC and State regulations and working within the Medical Assistant’s scope of practice.

Strives daily to give all customers very good care and promotes Havasu Regional Medical Centers’ Standards of Behavior and other duties as assigned.

• HS diploma or GED.
• Front and Back Office experience preferred. Experience in obtaining Prior Authorization preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited program or Certificate of Instruction from Trade school or program and/or 3 years practical experience preferred.
• If required to drive on company time, must have valid Drivers License and Proof of updated insurance.
