Whatwill you be doing?
- Read and follow recipes for menu production.
- Memorize production specifications, food presentations, and cooking methods.
- Fabricate menu items to guest specifications and maintain proper temperature and presentation.
- Label, date, and store all prepared food, raw ingredients, and food orders.
- Assist colleagues with workload management and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Maintain a sanitary environment consistent with chef and local health department standards.
- Adjust station production to reflect volume fluctuations and portion sizes per specifications.
- Identify and react to product spoilage.
- Maintain proper uniform and appearance.
- Communicate needs, deficiencies, or outages to chef/supervisor and accept verbal direction regarding changes and quantities.
- Organize tasks, manage time efficiently, and prepare staff meals for the employee cafeteria.
- Close kitchen shifts per chef/supervisor instructions and perform other duties as assigned.
- Previous experience in a fast‑paced kitchen, preferably in prep cooking.
- Ability to thrive in high‑pressure environments and maintain a positive attitude.
- Effective communication with supervisors and team members across culinary and service departments.
- Team‑oriented mindset and willingness to work flexible hours, including long shifts.
- Read client orders, special requests, and Micros printer instructions in English.
- Willingness to accept verbal direction from chefs or management.
- General knowledge of kitchen equipment and food products.
- Adaptability to work all kitchen stations and shifts.
- Dexterity for knife handling and prep work.
