The salary range for this position is $46.75 - $65.45 (Hourly Rate).

This is a full‑time position at 40 hours a week located at Northwestern Medicine Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 2:30 p to 11 p. Backup call rotation and holiday rotation required.
The Technical Coordinator Diagnostic Imaging reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Under the direction of the Radiology Manager and in collaboration with the Medical Director of the section, the Technical Coordinator has the responsibility and accountability for ensuring the technical competence of the staff and for the development and implementation of all clinical protocols. This position facilitates the operational activities related to quality patient care and overall department function. In addition to performing all the duties of the staff radiographer, the Technical Coordinator assumes a lead role in daily operations, equipment performance and takes on responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.
ResponsibilitiesEssentials Functions
- Designs and coordinates orientation programs for the technical and assistant personnel.
- Trains technical staff in applying clinical protocols and techniques.
- Develops training programs to apply evolving radiology techniques.
- Provides and coordinates technical in‑service education programs to develop staff technically, educationally, and professionally.
- Provides technical assessment of job performance for employee performance appraisals.
- Assists in the development of departmental and institutional policies and procedures in relation to technical standards and compliance.
- Coordinates/communicates equipment service and preventative maintenance schedule/QM program. Collaborates with physicists to determine corrective action if needed.
