Position SummaryThe Nurse Practitioner will provide direct patient care for medical weight loss services, including evaluations, treatment planning, follow-ups, and ongoing patient education. This role is ideal for an NP looking to grow in the weight loss and wellness space with mentorship and established clinical guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct patient evaluations, including medical histories, assessments, and progress visits
- Develop and manage individualized weight loss treatment plans under established protocols
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state scope-of-practice laws
- Monitor patient progress, labs, and treatment outcomes
- Provide patient education on weight loss, nutrition, lifestyle changes, and medication use
- Document accurately and timely in the EMR/EHR system
- Collaborate with medical assistants, nursing staff, and clinic leadership
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, clinic policies, and regulatory standards
- Support a positive, compassionate patient experience
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in good standing
- Board certification (AANP or ANCC)
- Ability to work independently within established protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable learning new systems and treatment models
- Additional Certifications
- Experience in weight loss, wellness, primary care, or family medicine
