Manager of Nursing - PACU and Universal Care Center

Salary range: $56.18 - $75.85 (Hourly Rate). Placement within the salary range is dependent on factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement is guided by the collective bargaining agreement.

Description

Additional Responsibilities
  • Responsible for coordinating specialty teams as needs arise.
  • Responsible for coordinating effective patient throughput.
  • Responsible to meet targeted Relationship, Reliability, Efficiency and Growth metrics per department/service line.
  • Responsible for development of staffing program to support clinical expertise.
  • Responsible for assisting the director in the capital budget to support replacement of infrastructure equipment and new technology.
  • Responsible for understanding the impact of new technology on the population served and coordinating reimbursement activities with the Business manager.
  • Responsible for maintaining the following systems: patient charging, inventory, staff scheduling.
  • In collaboration with Materials Management staff, responsible for maintaining appropriate supply formularies and par levels.
Qualifications
  • Required:
    • Registered Nursing license issued by the State of Illinois
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
    • BLS through American Heart Association
    • Entry‑level experience in leadership (e.g., Shared Leadership, Charge RN, Coordinator role)
  • Preferred:
    • Master of Science in Nursing
    • Board Certified in Nursing Administration from ANCC or AONE within two years of hire
    • Five to eight years of managerial experience
