EDI Systems Analyst / Supply Chain IT Specialist

Pay: $40-47/hr

Location: Fully Onsite in Lake Forest, IL - OPEN TO RELOCATION AT YOUR OWN EXPENSE

Duration: 6 month contract initially

This role is responsible for aligning technology solutions with business strategies while supporting Client Global Delivery operations. The position works closely with IT back-office teams, supply chain stakeholders, and external vendors to implement, maintain, and enhance EDI integrations and enterprise system functionality supporting end-to-end ordering and fulfillment processes.

• Partner with cross-functional IT and business teams to understand, communicate, and clarify operational and system requirements.
• Support long-term system planning initiatives to ensure technology solutions align with evolving business strategies.
• Monitor customer and operational issues, proactively identifying risks and opportunities for process improvement.
• Create, analyze, implement, and support EDI systems and processes utilizing X12 and EDIFACT standards
  .
• Configure and implement EDI messages and integrations across enterprise platforms including SAP, Biz Manager, Seeburger
  , and related systems.
• Collaborate with EDI vendors/providers to establish new trading partner accounts and support onboarding activities.
• Lead cross-functional coordination for EDI interface updates and inventory reporting supporting order lifecycle workflows.
• Utilize SAP/Symphony or other supply chain ERP systems to review and interpret EDI transactions such as 850, 856
  , and related documents.
• Support supply chain operations by implementing system enhancements related to product ordering, shipping, and fulfillment.
• Troubleshoot application issues and manage back-office system escalations.
• Assist with installation, configuration, and ongoing support of web and mobile applications.
• Ensure compliance with all Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
• Hands-on experience implementing EDI messages and enterprise system integrations
  , particularly with SAP or similar back-office platforms.
• Experience installing, configuring, and supporting web and mobile applications
  , preferably within the healthcare industry.
• Working knowledge of warehouse or supply chain ERP systems supporting ordering and shipping operations.
• Ability to interpret, troubleshoot, and resolve EDI transactions including 850, 856
  , and related documents.
• Solid understanding of EDI standards (X12 and EDIFACT).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root‑cause troubleshooting capabilities.

• Advanced experience with EDI interface design and implementation.
• Knowledge of SAP ERP functionality

• Experience with supply chain technologies such as:
  • Biz Link
  • Trace Link
  • SGTIN
  • TIBCO
  • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Understanding of supply chain system integrations and end-to-end fulfillment processes.
