Job Title: Contract Administrator - B
Location: Lake Forest – onsite 4 days, remote 1 day – local candidates only
Period: 09/02/2024 to 08/08/2025 – possibility of extension
Hours/Week: 40 hours – hours over 40 will be paid at time and a half
Rate: $24 – $29/hour
Contract Type: W-2 only
Scope of ServicesThe Contract Administrator is the interface between suppliers and internal stakeholders. This role manages Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, and RFXs to support supplier identification and selection. It involves working with suppliers to find cost savings and acting as a key link among procurement teams and managers. The ideal candidate should have experience with processing purchasing contracts, working independently with management, and understanding contractual issues.
Strategic purchasing planning is essential.
- Maintain good relations with internal and external customers, ensuring professional behavior and timely inquiries processing.
- Seek innovative ways to improve procurement processes, cycle times, and customer service.
- Act as primary contact for buyers, end users, and suppliers.
- Develop business relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive prices and preserve reputation.
- Lead resolution of issues and invoice errors.
- Manage PO changes and communicate trends.
- Resolve complaints and disputes among stakeholders.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or Finance.
- 4-6 years of procurement experience.
- Extensive experience with negotiating and drafting contracts, statements of work, confidentiality agreements.
- Strong experience in cost savings initiatives.
- Experience with SAP Ariba and/or Coupa is a plus.
- Technology or Facilities Sourcing experience.
- CPM certification preferred.
- Skills in contracting, negotiations, supplier management, and KPI achievement.
- Ability to identify problems, analyze root causes, and develop solutions.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and cross-cultural networking skills.
