CT Technologist Weekend-Imaging Part Time Evenings at Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital

This is a part-time position at 24 hours per week located at Lake Forest Hospital. The role is part of the Weekend Program and offers premium pay on top of base pay. Schedule for this role is 2 12-hour shifts on either Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Holidays required when applicable.

• Positions and immobilizes patient on examining table.
• Administers contrast media oral and/or IV contrast in accordance with department policies and procedures, patient history indicators, exam protocols and physician orders and follows through with post exam instructions.
• Enters data such as type of scan, slice thickness, scan time and other technical data into computer.
• Communicates with patient before and during procedure; monitors safety, comfort.
• Views images of organs or tissue on video display screen to ensure quality of pictures; produces radiographs.
• Performs CT equipment QA and maintains required logs.
• Performs clerical tasks such as receiving orders, scheduling patients, and recordkeeping.
• Maintains and cleans work area and equipment; replenishes supplies as needed.

Required:

• ARRT
• IEMA Division of Nuclear Safety
• BLS through American Heart Association
• 2 to 3 years of undergraduate education or equivalent

Preferred:

• ARRT registry in CT or MRI
• 1 year experience
